The hospital’s information technology unit is considered and managed by the hospital’s administrative department.
The main services of this unit are hardware support, as well as consulting on purchasing and arranging contracts, and support for hospital management and control (HIS) software systems, accounting, and hardware systems support, network support, and hospital website support.
The hospital has three main servers and six peripheral servers that control the hospital’s Internet network and peripheral software. Currently, more than one hundred computer systems and about 90 clients are active simultaneously, and the hospital’s information technology unit is responsible for supporting these systems.
The main activities of the Information Technology Unit in the software sector, given the importance of patient treatment, are supporting the hospital’s HIS system, which includes the following software:
- Management of inpatient wards, operating rooms, delivery rooms, special wards, NICU, ICU, CCU, dialysis and hematology.
- Laboratory, Pathology
- Imaging Medicine (Radiology, Ultrasound, and CT Scan)
