Job Description of Educational Supervisor:
1- Determining educational goals (short-term, medium-term, long-term)
2- Determining educational needs (clients, families, different categories of nursing and midwifery staff, and new staff)
3- Prioritizing educational needs
4- Developing continuous and documented educational programs to meet educational needs
5- Implementing educational programs in cooperation and partnership with other groups
6- Preparing and setting up appropriate tools to evaluate the performance and educational activities of related departments
7- Preparing and setting up appropriate tools to evaluate the nursing services needed by clients
8- Coordinating the implementation of the internship program for students and trainees in nursing and midwifery groups
9- Suggesting the preparation of books, magazines, brochures and educational aids to improve the level of awareness of nursing and midwifery group staff
10- Formation of a nursing education and research committee
11- Coordination, cooperation and participation in the formation and participation of staff in continuing education classes according to the comprehensive educational program of the relevant unit
12- Proposal to create incentive areas for the active participation of staff in educational and research activities
13- Cooperation and participation in the supervision and control of units for educational needs assessment
14- Cooperation and coordination with the clinical supervisor and infection control, in matters of education
15- Cooperation and coordination with head nurses and trainers in order to improve the level of education
16- Presentation of new news and results of new research (in the form of conferences, brochures/pamphlets, etc.)
17- Cooperation and participation in carrying out research projects
18- Guiding and training staff in the following areas:
A- Quality audit of nursing and midwifery services
B- Evaluating staff performance in providing services
C- Evaluating staff performance in providing training to clients
19- Guiding and training staff in implementing training programs of relevant units
20- Guiding and training in preparing educational brochures, posters, films and pamphlets for staff and clients
21- Recording and reporting all training activities and results to the nursing services manager
22- Controlling and monitoring the training conducted in the relevant units using appropriate tools
23- Controlling and monitoring the availability of training facilities and conditions in the units
24- Evaluating the effectiveness of the training conducted through:
– Quality control and audit of the services provided
– Client satisfaction survey
– Employee satisfaction survey
25- Control and supervision of the active participation of different nursing categories (in different shifts) in training programs based on per capita training
26- Participation in the Nursing Staff Evaluation Committee
27- Participation in all nursing-related training sessions
